My buddy was just in a dirt bike accident. He was jumping the bike and from what im told when he went to get up the hill, he gunned it. He hit the ground and the rear tire landed on his head. There is bleeding in his brain. They dont know if he will make it or not. I just keep crying. His name is David.

OMG I FEEL SO BAD I DID NOT CATCH THIS THREAD BEFORE!! I would never say it is his fault, yea should of had a helmet but it is after the fact now and need to concentrate on present and future. I feel extremely bad for you and him and all family. I remember when I was younger, in high school I knew this one girl who was really cool. Well she some how got caught up with these thug kids and they got her drunk and went riding 4 wheelers. The one stupid kid Nate white thug wanna be tried to go up a hill with her on hte back and fliped ot over. Wound up killing her. Still makes me sigh today badly. Kicker of the whole thing was that the dam kid would never admit to it. Always said she was driving it but after looking at the schene etc and knowing her and other storys he really was. That is what burns me horribly. At the funeral he didn't cry or show any simpathy at all. They were about ten minutes into he woods walking slowly, but after this happened he took forever to get out to meet the others waiting at the enterence. At which time they all scrambled back into the woods to check on her, then came out and got in the car and drove home to call the medics. Thats right drove home, not going to the house' s on the road where they were. After having to take all that time messing around and then the medics having to rig a mule to get in there she died. If they were have to have been smart and immediately notified medics she would have lived. I definately feel for you and know how it feels. It down right sucks when that stuff happens. You never take the time to think about it and how you feel for somebody friend or family until this point. Makes me wanna make a few phone calls home now. You have every prayer that I have!!

Very sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he pulls through and learns a lesson form this, thats all you can ask for. We've all done the "quick ride" no helmet thing and many of us get away with it a hundred times but it only takes one time to take life away. Things like this helps remind us all to always be safe.

He's in my prayers and I know how you feel. My grandma had cancer really bad a few years ago, and everyone was so upset over it.. God was really the only one who could help. Everyone prayed for her and eventually she came through. She ended up surviving cancer and living a complete life before she died a few months ago. God will help him through it.

Cody he is in my prayers. I know how you are feeling, my brother had a wreck on a four wheeler right in his yard, and he has ridden and raced most of his life. Just one of those freak accidents. He lost one eye and has practically no vision in the other. He hit a grown over drainage tile with the front wheel and the quad flipped him forward landing him on his back. The quad did a flip in the air and then landed with the rack hitting him accross the bridge of the nose. He has had several surgeries and hopefully he will be getting back to looking more like his old self later down the road.

NEWS! He's got some progress. Bleeding should be done today. He is now moving his body, slowly but surely. His arm surgery I think is tomorrow. No more swelling in the brain. They are giving him a room tonight, and they put him in a chair with wheels but it aint a wheel chair, it reclines. IM SO GLAD!

I'm glad your friend is doing better. I hope you showed him that our prayers and well wishes went out to him. I hope he doesn't give up riding. Please keep us posted on how he is doing. 3 weeks of rehab is a cake walk after a head injury. Please make sure he wears his helmet.
