my dad used to have a 1939 Chevy maple leaf truck, stepside, I wanted to restore it when i turned 16 so bad cause that woud make a badass, drop a 350 in her witha 4 speed stick, custom rims ect, but he went and sold it. SO i am somewhat into the old chevy's

nice truck man. Is it a straight 6 or an 8? We've always had chevy trucks on the farm since we got in the late 40's. They dont die. Ive got an 89 Chevy 1500 pickup with over 360,000 miles on it, still runs strong and spins the tires, lol. I dont have any trucks as old as yours maybe someday though. I do have a 75 chevy c10 with a 250 inline 6 motor I rebuilt, and an 87 k-5 blazer. Dad has the 72 C30, has about 25,000 miles on it:w00t: Again nice truck, lets see some pics!!!:Bounce

She had a straight six in it. In a couple years ill soon be buying my own truck and I want it to be a 73-87 Chevy, or GMC c-10, short box, 4x4 or a k-5 blazer. At our farm we got a truck kind of like yours, 1988 GMC Sierra, about 70 000 KMS (that’s kilometres) So she spins pretty good too, and does good donuts in the summer fallow:cool: and it has a 305. Oh...and I almost forgot, we also have an old 1966 Ford 600 Grain Truck/Water truck, it is used about 1nce a week, and it has no scratches or rust on the body, it looks brand new, exept the wooden box on the back has some scratches:cry: , if you want to see a pic of the 66 ford let me know, sadly I don’t have any picks of the 39, my dad sold it before I was able to take pics of it and get to know it.

hey thats cool man. There are a ton of the 73-87 trucks around here so it shouldnt be too hard to find one you like. if you ever have a question about anything related to them, go to www.ck5.com, lots of good info on these trucks there. Definitly would like to see some pics of that ford if you didnt mind, my email is pbur0303@brockport.edu. thanks man

rm250, that 6 by 6 sounds awesome. Ive seen a truck like that before and it was sweet. Definitly would be cool to have on the road

killborg. by older cab do you mean the 73-80's or like 67-72. Im pretty sure the 73-80s are like a bolt on direct replacement kind of deal. What motor do you have in the 84? Im driving an 87 K-5 Blazer now and I love it:cool: 350 TBI all the way:Bounce :Bounce

85honda that ford looks mint. I especially like the fact that you guys still use it as an actual work vehicle too, I got a lot of respect for a truck that can handle 50 years of farm work and still look like it rolled off the show room floor. Not only that, but I gotta say nice tractor. We've always had Deere's on our farm (minus one international 350), and they just wont die. Currently we have a 2510, 1520, 1010, 910 and 912 commercial mowers, 6x4 gator, 110 and 108 lawn mower, and 24T baler...we love the deeres I guess:Bounce

anyways, sorry to make this such a long post, but I love reading stuff about older trucks while on a site about 3 wheelers, to me that seems just about as good as it can get. peace!

We have a 1954(im pretty sure, might be a year or 2 off) John Deere 620 too, it is in fairly decent shape and was used last year around harvest for just puttering around and such,if you wanna see a pic of the old tractor just post a post saying ya would.

Here is the ol' 620, im the little kid sitting on the fender, that was proably about 7 years ago cause I look about 6 in that pic. It isnt in the best of shape but it is alright for the year i guess, and we also have a somewhat vintage skidoo, 1972 Yamaha 433GP (used about 1 week ago)

Nice Deere! Like I said, I always love to see the older deeres, especially when they are still being used for work. As far as the sled, my buddy just sold a yamaha 433 GP a few months ago. Actually he just joined this site, his name is herculesEngines. Anyways, between the two of us we got Yamahas, Rupps, Ski Doos, and John Deeres. How is the old yamaha running? Anyways, cool pics!!!

720s are nice tractors too. We never had a 20 series on the farm, but Ive seen a bunch of them at the shows and they look like really cool tractors. We did have a 60 but that was a little older. Anyways, that would cool to see some pics of that potatoe contraption, lol:pics:

the only thing different on the 73-82(end year?) is the front end
im into all old trucks and cars and have had my hands in on all sorts of projects, but im buying the ptoject my buddy stated, i heled wityh it a lil when he had it but its still not don because he moved onto a sick shortbed on 44s, but its a 87 chevy dually on 40s....350 TBI...its a beastly truck, im buildin a 427 or twin turbo 355 to put in it...still deciding, but it needs paint and bed to be complete, but its street legal as of now, which ill build a trick flatbed probly and paint her up at the ffarm i work at.....still decidin on colors tho....ill post pics in a week or 2....we had it idle all the way up a 40 foot mulch pile in 2 low its insane, because the footing is so wide with duals.....lets see some dropped, chopped, channeled ,lifted, blown, turboed, anything goes custom trucks lol, git some pics of your baby up
