This is my summer toy. I picked it up for $500 after 3 years of stalking it. It's a 88 with 78,000 miles on it. The tranny was replaced at 66,000 along with a new clutch and used transfer case. The motor is a 2.5 with fuel injection and still has plenty of pull with the 32" tires. This is just for cruising around and some moderate trails but I have my eye on a CJ-7 that might be worthy of a V-8 conversion. Any other Jeepers out there?

Yeah, The white walls and hubcaps had to GO!!!!!. The funny thing is the lady I bought it from mentioned the tires being like new as a selling point.

Hey Todd,,,Wow,Nice condition for being an 88. Wish I could find a deal like that. Wanna sell it? :0
Good luck with the Jeep. I know if you keep it, it will soon look like those other monster show trucks you guys have.

I'm a jeeper but dont have one right now.I get to drive my dads around whenever i want. This started out as a 93 sahara edition wrangler. Now,2 yrs and about $15,000 later, its got 3 and 4 link suspension using rubicon coil springs f and rear. Stock 6cyl w/ax15 5 spd trans. The rear is a ford 8.8, the front is a dana 35 both with detroit air lockers on 36 inch TSL's. The steering parts have been flipped and raised.the gas tank was relocated to where the back seat goes.Tons of other mods.My dad fabricated most of the parts himself. The stock YJ rollbar was modified to fit TJ tops and doors. It pretty much goes anyplace. My dad is a trail guide in the Catskill mountain jeep jamboree. I might be his co pilot this year.

we have a family toy . it a 1953 Willys M38-A1. my dad restored it in 1998. its got a flat head four motor in it. that thing is bad ass. rides like a tank. it has 13 leaf springs and one helper spring per wheel. very rough ride.

That's really nice 200xman. I didnt realize how cool the '88's look, I tohught the style was more boxy.

Heres a pic of our 86' (I think) CJ7 Renegade, we rebuilt it about 12 years ago and use it mostly for towing. It originaly had a V8 in, but we converted it to a 2.5 diesel, mainly because of the fuel economy!!
After turning the boost up and adding a big intercooler it made 160hp on the rolling road, so its not too bad:)
