my dad gave it to me today, a 1961 land rover 109. yes it runs, it needs a slave cylinder for the clutch..
it tops out about 50 mph, tripple range tranny, front and rear pto's..
80 hp....10 passinger, four rows of seats,
he has owned it for twenty years, it needs paint. it has an all alumium body (no rust) big ol' co-op tires, locking axles, 8,500 lb warm winch
64, 000 miles

The best 4x4 ever built was the old internationals, you could drop that truck off a cliff turn the key and drive away lol....needless to say sweet ride, I was thinking more along the line of a 440 wedge and the torqueflite combo attached to Dana 60's and 44" boggers.

i have the rovers north parts catalog, and things arent cheap!i am doing a total oem bone stock restore, it is the correct colors and all numbers match, i have years of my life to fix it, i looked at all i may need , and with parts i want, new paint and frame off paint job it will run over $25,000. heres one for you, each door complete with hinges and glass is like $1,700, remember these are all alumium trucks, i want the body perfect, i dont plan on driving it once finished, but over the next few years while working on it, ill take it out once and a while, its sorta like my us 90 i have, its something you dont take out and ride because your worried about popping a tire.
