The 87's had red swingarms.

I'm having a hard time believing that only has 1 mile on it. It looks to dirty to me. It is nice. But not 1 mile nice.

Im thinking there may be rust on it because he said it was crated, and if there was any condensation in there it may cause rust, but it has goine more than a mile, and if he was going to try to sell it as new, you think he could at least clean the drit & such off the engine.

I worked at a Honda dealership for 6 years and Honda covers them in a stuff called "cosmolean" , which is a really a light grease all over new units to prevent rust and corrosion. It does wash off but not easily and unless in sat outside in the rain the last 10 yrs it shold not of rusted. I think we have another abuse of the word new. I did not know the 87 had red swingarms, I like that.

I'd have to say there is no rust on axle and that's 20 years of dust sticking to the protective coating possibly.

What I see is a beauitiful 200X that wasn't stored in perfect climate conditions for 19 years. That's why some paint is coming off the engine casing.

Most what everyone is picking on can be cleaned right up. You won't come across a much nicer one then that for a long time. That's a $1800-$2300 X right there I'll bet. Maybe more ??

I don't know the guy either, that's my prediction though.

Definetly not new, pretty decent shape, but nowhere near new.

Yea I was gonna say, look at them fork boots.

I doubt it's only used little like the seller says but it's still in pretty damn good condition, plus it's an '87. If they didnt lie about the whole new/1 mile ridden thing it would be a great rare find... well, it still is but the description is misleading.

Look at the crankcase picture! All the paint is off it!!! That must have been one hell of a mile he rode that thing on lol!!

Paint comes off from poor maitenence, not riding. It is ver possible that that is what they say it is. Just cause it was in a crate for 20 years doesn't mean it was in a heated building with good air quality (ie, low moisture)

That's my view point too. Some of you guys are downgrading it a bit more then it should be.

I had emailed the guy 2 days ago asking some "why" questions with no response back to me yet.

I asked the seller questions on the first day & have not got a responce. Not a good sign if they won't get back to anybody.

I think who ever gets this machine gets a great one and one of the top five 87 200x's I have seen...I just have to say if it was in a crate until 2005 they devalued it tremendously by taking it out to briefly ride it then sell it with dirty pictures....just not the best judgement in my eyes. Hind sight is 20/20 but if I had a crated three wheeler I may uncrate it for display.... but you can believe I would take lots of pictures with a current newspaper to document the fact it was crated and I would include those pictures in a porfolio for sale.....but hey if some people like to throw money away....so be it.

Look at the horrible dent in the muffler! WTF!!

Maybe it was just 1 mile, but the mile consisted on outrunning roscoe and jumping barn silos like in the later years of the dukes of hazzard, that may wear a 200x like that after just a mile..........

I did too and he just got back to me. He didn't answer all the ?'s I asked him either. Seems we must be too much of a bother to him :wondering

I looked sloser at the honda this Am and did find some surface corrosion around the rearaxle and a little on forks. I will try to post more picts or relist. It honestly just came out of the crate. %100 guarantee. Ray

I'd still buy the thing if was interested but don't think too highly of the seller. Can't even take the time to spell right

No one is saying that it isn't nice just that it isn't new & just out of a crate w/ 1 mi on it. It is nice but still would need work to be in "new" condition.

Nice machine. Does anyone here remember the blue Tiger 3 wheeler that was on eBay about 3 yrs ago ? It was in PA and had never been ridden but was stored in a basement and had quite a lot of rust. You could tell it had not been rode becuase it had no rub marks or paint loss. Reminded me of this machine

It is a shame as how it was stored. All bare metal surfaces and rusty as can be, but what are a few bolt brakets. Vintagemotorssport will be of much help with this
