these pics are of my moms 12LB BAG of morel mushrooms. It doesnt look like that many but they weighed in right at 12 lbs. we have found LOTS more this year but i just had to share these few pics. Its a shame these pics dont do them any justice. In 2 of the pics i put a dinner plate next to them so you could see how big/ how many there are.

we can sell those to a store here in town for $20/pound, my buddies and i have been taking "over sleeping" and giong into school a few hours late every now and then, been making a little extra gas money, between the 3 of us we've probably found about 10lbs, not too bad i guess

My dad finds those all the time when we go mushroom pickin. Very tasy mushroom

They look funny..kinda of like a diseased mushroom...are they better than the standard mushrooms and why are they so pricey??

They are way better.

I go mushroon hunting here in FL. I have friends in NE the go hunting Morels. I go for the magic ones here & some normal ones here.

I am into mushrooms.. Well, wild mushrooms. ;) If i had a scanner I'd post up a pic of the couple ramshead I found a few years back. I also love papinkies and brown toppers as well. Mushroom picking just gives me another excuse to get out into the woods i guess.

i heard that there is a place here that will buy them also. The local grocery store sells them for 34.95 a pound. I'll personally tromp through the woods and have fun before i pay $35 a pound.
