I live in gator country Gainesville FL. Just about every one here is in to the Gators.(except me I could care less about any football team & most other sports too) Oh or did you mean utilty vehical Gator. lol

I worked for John Deere for several years, as far as other JD produced items year model doesn't mean anything to speak of. Everything is based off of serial numbers. Get the complete serial number off of it and goto your local JD dealer and they should be able to get you real close to the exact date of mfg.

Absolutely a Gator fan... National Champs, Football 1996 and Basketball 2006. It's great to be a Florida Gator!!!!! don't know anything about the John Deere except they are pricey.
