I am going to look at a 250r tomorrow for what i thought was a good price. the only reason it to resell and make a few dollars. but after searching ebay tonight the market seems LOW. there are some nice machines going for $900-$1300. now there are some NOS one going for more but nice drivers seem to be on the cheap side right now. what do you all think?

For this time of year it's about normal. Summer time the prices drop, fall / winter prices go up. My theory is that during the summer most people are outside doing things and not on the computer much. In the fall / winter people stay indoors more and get online and buy.

I'm in agreement with Howdy. I usually see sales fall off around Memorial Day, don't pick up again until the end of summer. Also, there has been a flood of Rs on the market recently, probably due to buyer demand driving prices up. People hear they're worth money and they all start selling at once, then the prices tend to drop a little. I found a good deal on an '85, but passed it up because I don't want to have it sitting around for a few months until I can make $$ on it.

well i passed on the one i was looking at. he wanted $600 and i offerd $400. he tried for $500 but i passed. it had busted maier plastic, torn seat, smashed FMF, blown forks, busted headlight, faded tank, flat on front, bakes needed rebuilt, cobbled factory extended swinger, and the left case needed replced.

it would have been a total rebuild job. if i can buy a rider for $1000 why bother with that thing??????????/
