If you're looking for criticism....the TV is too small, the ceiling is too low, the ceiling fan is ugly as ...... you figure it out, and are those bruises on her leg? If you are looking for reassurance that you have a new house..... I guess it's OK. I'd buy nicer couches though.

Get a projector if you want BIG !!!!

Above the fireplace is too high.. would be better on a stand at head level when sitting down...

Edit: ok.. i had a hilarious comment here.. but probably not apropriate... doh

I guess the TV is to small in comparison to the fireplace. I like the ceiling fan, they are regular height ceilings, they are some couches we had from our apt they are temporary. They are bruises on her leg from going tubing on the lake in my back yard of my cottage. ChrisD if you ever want to give me the run down on my house I can post some pictures of it better yet. Just wanted an opinion on the TV, nothing about the cottage. What ever floats your boat brother.

I'd save the 8k on the next bigger one and not mount it above the fplace.

Does the glass of water look like a bong because there is one of those stand up tv/cable remotes just behind her hand?

I just did carpet in a couples house that had that TV. I looked great. He said it only cost about 3,000 w/ tax & warranty. Thing was crystal clear too.

I is too small man, kinda looks completely out of place. And dosent putin it up there
1. limit the size you can get
2. if it is a plama which it dosent look lke at all, puting it above a heat source like a fireplace it will make the screen harden faster learnd this the hard way with my plasma about 4 years ago) and since the average life of a plasma is about 2-3 years before the screen hardens and it is usless youll be lucky to get a year out of it and being as you are getting ass raped on the price i see it as 2 times as bad.

If its a bong then puff puff pass. After a few rounds you wont care about the size of the TV anymore as long as there are some cartoons on and some chips near by

plasmas have come a long way. the generation that came out last year is guaranteed to last 8000 hours or 5-7 years without needing recharged. also new flat panel lcds are available larger now and have come down in price a lot. the TV might be a little small for the house but putting it up there does make it seem smaller than it probably is. is it 32 to 40? anyway, this christmas they should come down in price again. if you dont mind a tv that is about 12 inches deep and on a stand, a DLP or HLIP tv is a great quality and decent priced alternative. 42-50 inches between $1700 & $2500 and except for the view angle, just as nice of picture. also with a DLP there in no converging adjustment so the only thing you need to have serviced is a $200 light bulb about every 5000 hours which anyone can change.

No, the tv isn't too small. Its that huge mantle. Gotta go. I would suggest an axe to that huge coffee table, burn that couch she is sitting on (remove wife first) and get a lazy boy. Then, it wouldn't matter that the tv is 'too high' anymore because you will be looking directly at it. Threaten to put one of those big ugly stuffed fish up there if that tv comes down.

I like this tv alot better. Yes the other one was a plasma who ever said it wasn't. I got this tv at best buy today. I went to get a sirius radio set up for my truck and was walking up to the front of the store with it and stopped to look at plasmas. As Iwas walking through they stuck a clearance tag on the one. So I stopped and looked at it. 50 inch plasma with that ambient light crap behind it for 1899. I thought well heck thats cheap. So I tell them ok i will take it. He summons to kids over to take it out. They tried to remove it before unplugging the cable and bent the plug. The manager came over and said take another 200 off. So now I have a 50 inch plasma for 1699. I get it home and plug a cable into it just to see if it still work with co-ax and it does. I don't use co-ax but I just wanted to see if it still worked. Seem like a fair price to you??
