I recently bought an old go-kart, powered by a 5-hp Briggs engine. The Briggs seems to be slightly underpowered, so I'm doing what any red-blooded guy would do: Sticking a YZ80 engine in it instead. :naughty:

This project requires plenty of fabrication, such as extending the engine bay, adding front suspension, building engine mounts, adding a gear shifter, making a roll cage, etc. Now I just have to rebuild the 80.

Will have pics up as soon as the rain outside stops. :)

I am going to do just about the same thing, except that I am going to use a slightly larger motor, like 400CC or larger. The motor is going to come from a snowmobile, and the suspension is going to be from a quadzilla. I am going to stick with the variable belt setup and have power going to a jackshaft then to the axle. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, just now got back home to where I can do it. Keep us updated with plenty of pics man.
