This as been posted before. I would be careful with this one.

I am not going to make any comments with out being sure or at least having proof. I just know I have seen this story before. The same thing popped up a while back. I almost bought one because I was into Hondas back then. The story of a school selling these has come up before. That is all I remember. So I would double and triple check before I sent that kind of money.

I just re read what I said, and I do not think my point came across the way I meant it.

I am saying this exact story and everything as been used before. It is identical to the postings I remember from back then. Everything about is identical and too coincidental. I simply do not trust it.

i took a small engines class last year and the shop had a bunch of suzuki 400cc motors and a whole ltz250 quad donated to them so it does happen, however i have no idea if this auction is real or not.

He does have a lot of them. I looked over his other auctions. It is hard to say is this is legit or not. if I had not already seen the same story beofre, I would have no trouble with it.

I know that our local vocational school has 250R engines and 350X engines. They were donated by Honda in 1987. However, they had to agree that they would never be sold. Only scraped.

I feel for the shop teacher that gets busted breaking that agreement.

I too am familiar with Honda's rule on that issue, but notice that he said the class never came about, maybe due to lack of interest... He may have found these in storage from 15 years ago... I would at least get some personal correspondence, as in emails and a phone number...

I remember seeing a post about these as well. A few months back. I believe that was just a member who knew the shop teacher, who had a bunch of NOS engines. And they were discussing selling them. I personally don't think this auction is a bad one.

If I were a shop teacher in that position I would simply make the engines disapear over time....... It's not like honda comes weekly and checks to see if you still have all the engines:lol:

After this many years I highly doubt hondas gonna make a big stink about them gettig rid of them. Besides the agreement was when ATC's were the devil (all over and on everyones mind) and now they are just the monster in the closet ( outta sight outta mind). I may be wrong but I'd still chance it.

also you got to remember those motors are the schools property NOT the teachers so there obviously stealing the motors to begin with!!!!!!!!!!!
he has no right to be selling them anyways,,,,,

I don't see anywhere in his auction that says he's a shop teacher. How do you know he stole them ? He says he bought them.

Can you just imagine what would happen if somone got hurt after buying one of these vo tech engines?!?! (school district lawsuit maybe). I personally would not buy a school engine. How do you REALLY know it wasn't taken apart?????? A good eye can spot a tampered with engine. Lotta liars out there. Some one will probobly buy it cheap and then resell it for NOS. I don't think thats very honest unless the new owner lists the history of the engine in the ad. Fat chance that will happen, RIGHT. Maybe I'm wrong!

Where does it say that he works for the school. He is just saying where the engines came from.
