G'day guys !

My friend just picked up an 8 x 18 ft dual axle trailer.. it's HUGE....

But it's un-finished.. just has the steel frame .. axles.. hitch etc.. needs to be wired and enclosed.

Any links.. advise.. etc.. ?

How thick should the walls etc be ? we were thinking 2 x 4's sandwitched by 1/4 " ply .. picture the 2x4 with the 4" along the wall instead of the 2 " side..

Anyone ?

Here is what the inside of my 26' enclosed trailer looks like. You also need to think about if you are going to insulate it too, to maybe make a toy hauler system like mine. I even installed a full stand up shower system in mine. Hey put a window in it too cuz they look cool with windows. Make sure you use a wood type frame for the window area. The sides are plywood with the sheets of foam behind it. The roof was made of steel brackets so you could add and remove lights and wiring if needed. If you need detail pics of the inside, I could get those too.

Wow.. that's a nice trailer !

Would be awsome to have a light( not light weight.. but daylight) permitting roof.. but he would like to be able to stand on the top of it to watch the races..

My friends daughter is 15 years old and is suzuki sponsored on an RM85 ( 2nd year racing ! ) She's pretty good.. i'm impressed as she races with the boys almost every weekend !

How thick are the walls ? and how were they constructed...? just ply and foam ? any studs involved ? must be .. Would idealy be insulated.. gets cold up here and it may double as a camper on alot of occasions !

Thanks scott !! i'm sure i'll have more questions as we put this sucker together !! lol..

Ok mine is a full steel framed unit. The steel beams are attached to 2x4's along the walls and flooring. On the top it has full steel construction that could with stand people sitting on top of it. It has a "secondary" roof so to speak, for the running of the wires and mounting of light systems. Then you insulate it and add a soft poly wood type paneling. The walls have the 1/8th inch foam and then the ply wood. The floor is 1/2 inch ply wood.
