I found about 8 things wrong / not original with the bike in about 30 seconds. I thought this seller was pretty straight up :wondering
maybe he took hit on the coconut and has forgotten all he knows about 250r's:drool:

Well this is about 1 1/2- 2 hrs away from me i believe. So if anyone buys it from 3ww i might be able to help with pickup.

No. I bet there's a lot of rust on this one not being shown. You can see some in the closeups of the controls. If there's rust there, it's everywhere. Not "all original" either so if he's not being straight up about that (or just doesn't know) what else is not being disclosed? There are nicer ones in the cycle trader out here every week.

Handlebars are aftermarket. Wrong seat and headlight. Fenders are NOS but not original. It's the rust that would worry me though.

I'm with Whyzee, picked up about six things wrong right away. It has alot of 1985 parts on it. By the wear on it, it also has alot of miles on it. Might be some negative feedback left on this one when the buy recieves it.

gotta be some shill bidding, these prices have been so weak lately , no way is that thing legitimitly bid up that high.

I guess I got so mad after reading the title and hoping to see a beauty. Instead I click on it and see a put together machine with 1/2 85 parts and 1/2 86 parts.
I know this seller knows better.
I just feel bad for someone new to ebay, buys it, thinking this thing has been hidden in a "barn " time capsule tucked away for the last 20 years, then shows it to his buddy who really knows these machines, and then his buddy pukes on himself.

I can spot a 85 seat, 85 front caliper, non-original rear plastic, Scott grips, no fork boots, missing handlebar clamp bolt, non-orignal gas tank, no front brake line guard, 85 headlight, no helmet holder(that was stock in 86), 85 switch cluster, non-orignal bars. If I were to look at the bike in person I would see alot more non-origanal and non-86 parts.

so whats the auction at? 1 day and 6 hours give or take and it now had 27 bids??? It would be unbelievable if it WASNT shill bidding. User ID's are even kept private, I mean give me a break

Is this guy for real $125 for tripple clamps???? If so, I have about $600 just in my basement.

That looks somewhat ratty IMO. I'd be pissed buying a 2k machine thinking it was mint but from the pics I, myself, know better. Whats the buyers excuse? Maybe they just want it that bad...
