I bought a 72 mach 1 the other day and its my first muscle car. Im sure alot of people on here also own muscle cars so i was wondering if there where any good muscle car forums? somewhere with lots of information and helpfull members.

It seems like those are mostly made up for the fox bodies, but there are small sections for classics.

ive been on this site for awhile now and there are some good guys here that will help with just about anything you can imagine as far as classic mustangs go.. i too have 71 mach1 :beer

no its not the original paint the paint jobs actualy looks better in pictures than it does in person. its newer paint but it looks like someone painted it in there own garage. it runs good though no rust (well very little bit in the trunk) has a 351 with holly 4 barrel carb c4 3 speed auto trans with a Hurst shifter has a posi rear (forget what ratio the guy said it was) also has flomaster mufflers. i plan on beefing up the eingine sometime in the future but still trying to learn more about upgrades and parts before i go out and buy any.

those mach 1s, 03/04 svt cobra, and LX 5.0 foxbodies are basically the only mustangs i really like. well except the saleen s351

heres mine its original paint, but after 35 years its pretty rough now and its in need of a make over ive got my super comp dragster for sale and if i ever sell it the ole stang will get its much needed resto. still not too bad for an ole car that runs 12.90's :naughty:

you can really get your mach 1 to run 12.9

i assume its not stock?

this car was 325 h/p from factory with the 4 barrel clev., it ran 13.40 with a set of tired ole 3.25 gears in it and i never had to shift to 3rd....lol, yea most of your (03/04 svt cobra, and LX 5.0 foxbodies ) hate to see this ole girl rollin on the street. it not only ran 12.90's its a lil bit faster now since it was regeared, i need to get a new or better set of slicks,these ive got are a lil dried out and i just havnt took it to the track to test her out..

ill race my fox against it. my 5.0 motor is all stock baby.

12.9 is still a tad slower than a 03/04 svt cobra stock...

the motor is stock from intake to pan, but that doesnt mean everything attached to it is ;)
