I want to upgrade my ram and dont know exactly what the pc2100, pc2700 and pc3200 is? I think it seems like something with the htz. If so the bigger the faster right or is there no differants in speed. Thank you

This is what the crucial scan on my computer said.

Each memory slot can hold:
DDR PC3200,DDR PC2700 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.

Installed
Slot 1-128 MB DDR PC2100
Slot 2-256 MB DDR PC2700

Maximum Memory Capacity: 2048MB
Currently Installed Memory: 384 MB
Available Memory Slots:0
Number of Banks: 2
Dual Channel Support: No
CPU Manufacturer: AuthenticAMD
CPU Family: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1800+ Model 6, Stepping 2
CPU Speed: 1532 MHz

So any DDR with a PC3200, PC2700 and 184-pin will work right.

Change slot 1 to match slot 2 (or at least make them both the same speed) " mhz "... they should be the same for performance.
She is placing bets with me on what you got. Five bucks is her bet on the fact you have a dell ,,,, anything else I win !

Yes, the only downfall is that all the RAM will only run as fast as the slowest chip (if you have PC2100 in and put a PC3200, the 3200 will clock down to run at the slower speed of 2100.) But, the speed trade off isn't really anything you'll notice compared to the difference you'd notice just from having more RAM (provided the system needs it)
