We just got a free new pepsi machine in at the shop without a key. We got it out of a pool house that had to be torn down. Anyone know where to get a key for one of these things?

Drill and a punch, worked for me when I was back on the ship. But if you are wanting to go the non-destructive route any locksmith should be able to help you out. They almost always have keys to stuff like that.

Yea I thought of that but local is not local to me. I've also thought of hitting up a delivery driver but every time I think about it I'm sitting in the shop looking at a locked pepsi machine  Not a real high priority item at the moment, thats why I asked, maybe someone knows something I havn't thought of.

Try a local locksmith first. If not, then call the local Pepsi plant and have the serial number ready.

if you cant get a key and want to lock it again just drill out the lock and put a padlock with a latch

Looks like I just need to get this one opened to install a new lock. I'll give a locksmith a call this afternoon and get a price.

If you get a locksmith out there he could probably make you new keys while he is at it.

I used to use pen tubes to pick those locks. Just hammer it on and turn.

There should be numbers stamped on the outer ring of the lock. Just give those to your locksmith and a key can be made in about 5 minutes.

There was a show on the discovery channel not too long ago where there was this locksmith or thief that showed people that even the best lock could be defeated by simply tapping on the back of a key that only needed to fit into the keyhole. You might try that. Just tap the back of the key and turn. Of course he made it look SOOOOO easy.
