This is my girls car. It had a Holley carburetor on there that seemed to big for it and was swallowing fuel. We put a smaller Edelbrock on there and it runs much better for the cruising around she does.

She'd like to sell this Holley on EBAY but I need to be able to identify it correctly. Anyone know where the serial numbers are located and a web site that can help ID the type of carburetor and size it is?? There are numbers stamped everywhere on this thing, I don't know which are the important ones. Thanks for any help!!

Sweet looking ride.....go to CARCRAFT.COM You'll need to create a password to go to the forums but it only takes like a minute. There are lots of guys in there that will be able to tell you exactly what you have. Kind of like here only with cars:beer

get the numbers off of the air horn its in front of the choke should be a 4 digit number and go to mortec.com I think they have the holleys listed there. that thing looks like a 650 spread bore, double pumper, it does okay as a q jet replacement, but a 600 vacuum secondary carb would be much better on the street. I know they are expensive new, but most folks don't run those anymore. Jim

It looks just like my 650 spread bore double pumper on my 57, but as Jim mac says check those numbers. I had mine rebuilt and it works well in place of the old q-jet that was on it. I like the response and the wot feel of those huge secondaries.

Thanks for the help guys,

The numbers are 4779-6 and just below 0963

I searched a bit and it looks to be a 750 double pumper, model 4150 with a 4 corner idle system.

They make a 4779-1,2,3,4,5,6 not sure what the differences are though...

Wish I could find the year and intended application or CI it should be ran on.
