Motor for 87 tecate 4 rolling chassis?

What motor would fit in the frame? would a quadracer motor fit,banshee? or just tecate ones.I also have another tecate 4 which wont run,its an 88 though would that motor fit? all it needs is a crank.

sounds pretty sweet,i was talking to a few freinds,one would sell me an 86 tecate motor for a tecate 3,would it fit?

nope. the ONLY one that will fit with no modification is the T4 enigne. most any otehr one can be made to fit with a welder, torch, and brackets. the 86 t3 is a sweet engine though!!!

yeah,he said he could "make it fit" but im scepctical.Ive ordered a new crank for my other one,which is all i can afford at once with of course keeping extra for the mottor in my old one,once i get a new crank(they said they coudlnt rebuild it (N)) ill prob sell localy or get a 450 quadracer(new ones).I dont have much to lose on the rolling chassies im gonna buy the motor,is $600 a good deal? it was garage kept and hardly used untill the guys father gave it to him,he said it was too much bike but never cared to sell it.I know this for a fact cause i remember when we were younger i seen this old 3 wheeler in his fathers garage,now he moved out its in his garage and he doesnt have the time to ride it,hell id be better off buying the whole 3wheeler but he wont trade for my t4.

ill update tommorow,i dont currently have a camera(i attempted to take it fourwheeling and dropped it out of my pocket and wrecked it) but ill find a way to get a pic.I have a pic of the rolling chassis tho.

$600 for a t3 motor sounds like $300 too much.

its in great shape,i coudlt have bought the bike for 1200 but no mods or nothing,seems a bit steep,maybe its just me,but i bought the motor for a neg. price of 425,got it in fine and stuff,orderd a new exhaust and header,hope to have it running soon,thanks alot guys.Ill tell ya how i do.I ordered a fmf gold header,fmf powercore pipe.Hope it runs fine (yn)
