I think you and I both know the answer to this. Single cyl, 4 stroke, vs a Dual cylinder, 2 stroke.....there is no comparison, Banshee will rip a 400ex's guts out and run them over with a steam roller.

yeap, a Shee will smoke a 400EX, hands down,,,a good 440EX will give in a good run, but the Shee will still pull away on top end (unless the EX had 16/36 sprockets and 22" tires, but doubt it),,,later

Stock for stock I think they are actually kinda close, dont quote me on that, but I know the stock pipes and air box on banshee's are a joke to say the least. Pipes alone on a Banshee add A LOT of power.

The 400EX will pull the first 30 feet, after that hes a spec in the mirror, and its not even close.

Here are stock #'s
Machine 0-30mph 0-45mph 20-40mph

Banshee 3.77s 8.48s 4.23s
400EX 4.11s 9.50s 4.47s
Raptor 3.07 6.87 3.34
Z400 3.35 8.87 4.04
Cannibal 3.23 6.72 3.16
Predator 3.21 6.98 3.20
DS650 3.03 6.22 3.05

I included other machines as well for comparison. Remember that these are averages in the same condition with different riders and a unweighted average.

As you can see the Bashee is slightly quicker, but not night and day quicker.

Keep in mind you put about 1k into a Banshee and your going to blow the doors off of all of those bikes just mentioned. Yes I know you can mod those other bikes too, but 4-strokes are insanely expensive to build up.
Also straight line acceleration doesn't mean much if your riding a track (somthing the shee sucks at compared to those other quads) but if your riding sand dunes, I've never found a stock 4-stroke that can stay anywhere close to a stock banshee.
