I also picked up a TRX recently. I love it long time. Even know this one is stock it screams. What pipe silencer combo do you recommend for trail/woods riding?

For woods riding I say the paul turner hi-rev or ESR trx5 pipe is the way to go!!

I have been watching some of the LRD and ESR pipes and also the Paul Turners. I don't know much about the FMF's except there seem to be a lot of them. Here is a ct pipe that I am currently watching.



I have pickep up a K&N air filter and wan't to upgrade the exhaust system to gain a lil more power. I had a mostly stock 85 250r and for what ever reason this trx would be the hell out of it. . .. . . ..

I can tell you that whale pipe will not give you what your looking for. Thats a top end pipe and you need alot of motor to run that one. I tried to run one on ice with a 265 and could never get it to work right. Your better off with a fmf with the spark arrestor silencer for the woods and trails. I run trx5's and they work good all around but I switch to the fmf with the sparky if I go to the dunes.

Just about any pipe will work but I would stay away from the ct whale and the esr trx11 for a stock motor. Is that the adjustable LRD? if so it should work fine. For the woods/trails I would go with a low/midrange pipe and a 36mm carb but your stock 34 will work fine once its jetted for the pipe.

nice trx i have a 86 with a aftermarket frame and all the stuff.

for woods amd mx riding you want a mid range pipe. i have a LRD mx pipe which is a mid one. and it rips in 2 threw 4th gear. i got mine on ebay for $10 with the adjusting tabs broke. it's way better then the Bills i had on it.

paul turners mid range pipe was what 90% of the pros mx guys used back when you could run 250r's in that class. so that tells you they work great.

i second that stay away from that CT whale pipe. they make a CT mx pipe thats a mid one that works okay

Atv was purchased new and ridden on the beaches in North Carolina. It's really nice machine. It set me back 3k but was worth it. Purchased from orig. owner.
