At the shop we have a wireless router set up. It's hard wired to the main computer, and is set up for my laptop to use via wireless.
We are trying to extend the network 5-600ft to Pickles house. We have a Linksys router and it only feeds a signal about 100-150ft ( The shop has metal siding ). We have a semi clear sight to the house ( a few apple trees inbetween). Currently we don't have any place inbetween to mount a repeater.

What I would really like to find is a direction hi gain antenna or a repeater that can be mounted outside the shop, that we can use to get a strong signal to the house.

The only possible solution I have found so far is this system: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/Auragrid.html?gclid=CJnsl5XN8okCFRtCgQodLhCpFQ We do have a 75ohm coax TV cable that is aprox 650 ft long ( because of the way it's routed ) that comes from the house to the shop. But I worry the cable is too long for this system. But it is a option.

Has anyone used this system? If so how good does it work?

I might note Connecting a new cable from the house to shop or vice versa is not a option right now.

We have a Hawkins Wi-Fi signal booster which plugs into the the router, and into a antenna. It travels around 300 ft. or more down hill through walls to our boat dock. The antenna is made by PDI and it just looks like a big bathroom tile. Here are some pics. If you would mount it out doors and its a straight, flat shot, I believe this would do the trick. Here are some pics of the antenna, we are going to mount it outside sometime, but for now its just sitting inside the window.

If the link doesn't work, it's a Linksys WRE54G range extender. I've used these many times, and they have yet to let me down. The nice thing here, is that all it requires is power (no cabling, etc.)
