That was a blast! must've been 500 riders show up for one of the first outdoor races of the season. I managed a trophy for 6th out of 11 riders. What was especially interesting was the assortment of quads running in my class. When the gate dropped, I left behind an LT500R, Predator, Cannondale, a 400EX, and a 250R at the first corner. Ahead of me was two Banshees, two 400EX's, and a Z400. The track was more open, wide and rolling instead of the short steep jumps, whoops, and tight corners Im used to. I caught the Z400 right away, and passed him in the 3rd lap and left him way behind by the races end. By the 4th lap the Predator caught me as I was getting really tired, but Id turn it on and lose him everytime I heard him getting close. Also Im the 4th lap a 250R passed me. One of the Banshees actually lapped the last rider in the final (6th) lap who happened to be the guy on the Quadzilla. A 400EX had the 2nd spot, and caught the last rider, but didnt pass him. All three of the 400EX's were equipped with 440 kits. The Z400 was stock motor as was the Predator. Just thought this was interesting as I get so sick of hearing "this will beat that" BS. ATV's dont win REAL races. Riders do! I am going to go back and run my TriZ on that track. The wider and mostly more open turns make it more 3 wheeler friendly, and I wont be at nearly as much of a disadvantage.

what were you riding timsr,,or did i miss something?

This was near Canton, Ohio. I was running my 86 TRX250R which is pretty stock other than the low end pipe, and extra low gearing.

Theres lots of good amateur motocross and harscrambles in this area. Most of the CRA events will even allow trikes, if a guy has the nads. For schedules and maps:

what track near canton was it? i know only of 2 near canton and that is thunder vally and malvern. but i know there is more, i was just wondering what one.

This was at Malvern. Next one is 5/17. We both do well on that track. There is also a new one called Outlaw Extreme, and Battlesburg in that area, as well as Elson St. ATV park for trail riding. They are all within a few miles of each other.

They had a prof. photographer from www.huskyphoto.com there on the 4/27 race. I found these amongst his colections, and bought the files.
