Ok here it is hot from the vac table today i dont have an 84/85 T3 to test fit so its back to the generous doner to trail fit for me.It has a small raised area that should fit below the fender line and allow holes to be drilled or those 1 inch UNI-Filter pop in vents to be installed or leave it undrilled for a stock lid replacement, your choice ;)

Sweet work Aussie. Where the raised part is you should make shark fins and some kind of molded brackets on the inside to hold the Foam in place. An Aussie original.:beer
That would be sick, and all you would have to do after a ride is pop off the lid, pull the foam, wash it off and put it all back on.
Anyways I hear you got crazy amounts of sharks over there so its kind of a good fit:naughty:
Pretty soon when your product line is all set im going to be throwing you some serious cash. I got the Tecate and an 86 200x im thinking about doing in all white with Moshman doing the original style blue seat.:w00t:

Looks really good, can't wait to try it out. I think I'd like to try one of the UNI foam circle things in it, should work great.

Thanks Aussie

Hey no problem, one question does the lid need the large mounting holes in it like your OEM part as i only see a small part of the hole used to attached the lid.
You may be able to fit 2 of those 1 inch Uni-Filters on the lid on the rasied area, these lids also need to have a small foam seal around it inside so i will see what's available at our Home Depot (Bunnings) type store, will get this off to you shortly and you can do a fit test etc and report back on here.
Got to get that UFO plate finished ASAP !

Tony, the holes only need to be about 5/16 inch, the oblong hole was for...who knows really, don't see the need. Chris

Looks great Chris i appreciate your feedback and test fit report, these look ok to start making for the Gen 1 owners, next thing you need is to get 2 of those pop in 1 inch UNI-Filters in the raised area.

these are the uni vents that would work awsome in that, drill a 1 inch hole and pop them in and run a little silicone around the in side you can remove the foam clean and oil;)

Yeah, Bryan, that's my intent, but I'm gonna run it as is for a bit. I'm putting my Tecate back together now and will make that mod once it's running good again. Chris

I would get that green plastic on its way now Gary as the time is going fast, the lids are done as you have seen and the plate is ready to roll as well,TF is just around the corner.
