I get that every once in a while also. Especially when it's quiet. In fact, I just had it happen a few minutes ago...

That happens to me quite often. I hate it. Sometimes its really loud and sometimes you can barely hear it. Signs of going deaf maybe lol.

Or the years of car stereos blasting can cause that too; especially in my case haha it's hard for my ears to hurt with any stereo because everybody else but me are always in pain in my car I think it's not loud enough lol

I think it has something to do with your bodies electrical signals running your nervous system. You only notice it when it is very quiet.

I get ringing in my right ear all the time, sometimes, I'm deaf in it. The real reason why it happens if because of damage to the ear drum. I got into a accident broke my right ear drum(it smashed about 40 mph into a car wind sheild), there was more damage than this, broken legs, right arm, 4 cracks in skull, something about my ribs. I have learned to live with this, yes, its sign of becoming deaf. Doctors says in about 20 years, I will be completely deaf in that ear.

I normally have really good hearing, however if I listen to music or any type of sound with headphones that are real close to my left ear, even when the volume is down low, after a few minutes I will start to get a weird feeling in my ear with slight pressure and pain, and I'll start going deaf in that ear, then it takes several minutes after I stopped listening before I can hear normal again. I just use my right ear only now when I use headphones(which I rarely use). Crazy stuff.
