Gas in Oil...???

Our Kawasaki mule hasn't been running right for the past couple days... This morning it wouldn't even start, it would just backfire BAD! I drained the oil, and its realy thin and gray. I knew that meant there was water in it.. Then I smelled it and it smells like gas... Anyone know where to check how the gas is getting in???

Pull the carb apart, sounds like there is something stuck in the needle/seat assembly, or its worn out and time for a new one, if it gets stuck open while sitting it will fill the cylinder with fuel, go past the rings and end up in the bottem end,,,

Yeah just to be safe I always shut the fuel off when there not in use.
