I just saw that. $4900 ?? Not from my pocket. I'm sorry if that's a 3WW member's bike but the swing arm looks hack to me. And how was the rake altered?? Don't get me wrong here fellas...Nice trike. I'd like to set it next to my '86...but not for $4900.

Overall condition is one of a hurried resto lacking lots of detail and many critical parts that bring the value of the machine up. I agree with said statements above. WAYYYYYY to much, but hey there's an a** for every seat.

Looks like they actually shortened the swinger? Why would you want to make the thing any more likely to tump you on your ass? Arent Tecates bad to the bone anyway? Is it an 87 or is it another one that has been mislabled.

I would like to see pictures of the rake alteration, these were probably left out for a reason. He must not want to sell it, or he would knock 3k off the price. IMO

Well with a short swinger they may of had the intentions of flat track racing, that's a very common swinger for flat tracking on any bike... Still over priced I think also guys.

That's a very common mistake for flattracking a 3-wheeler. Sure it slides easier, but it'll also spin out easier....cutting back on how hard you can enter and exit a corner. I had mine('85) extended +2". I'll post videos/pics to illustrate my point when I get started back up this season.

I laughed when I saw the price on that Tecate. It's almost as if the wife has said get rid of it, and he doesn't really want to. Looks good(except the swinger), but nowhere near THAT good.

Let's see...it's got a shock,pipe and silencer and a ported cylinder. The rest of the bike is basically stock '87 with all the rare stuff missing. No air-box,headlight or overflow bottle. Looks nice but not for $100 less than $5K.

The local guy I got my 1st gen and parts from here is putting his '86 back together right now. It already looks better than that one, and I could buy it right now like it sits for about a grand with new OEM plasics (excluding the right shroud of course...but his right shroud is decent),a new looking CRF headpipe, and a new (in box)Ricky Stator/flywheel.

Turns out that northwest AL is pretty saturated with Tecates, primarily being used for dragracing.

Here's an interesting tidbit....I just got off the phone with Pro Circuit. The say they never made a pipe for the '86/'87 Tecate KXT 250. Hmmmmmmm ???
