I changed the oil in my 2003 350 Rancher and now I have no forward motion... I used SAE30HD, could this be my problem?

Yes, this is probably your problem. You should run a motorcycle approved oil like Mobil One Racing 4T in 10w40. Anything that is JASO MA rated will do just fine, any local parts store or bike shop will have such an oil. Look for the rating on the back of the bottle. Drain the 30HD stuff out and let it sit a while with the plug out to get all that you can out. You may want to double buy the correct oil and do a short interval change, say maybe in 5 riding hours just to make sure all the 30HD is out. Chris

Dump the oil and throw some 10w40 in it. I use Valvoline 10w40 in all my crankcases, no problems.

yup, had the same problem w/ the quadracer...put some 10w-30 in there and there was major clutch problems. Switched to some 20w-50 and its all good ;)

i run mobile 1 5w30 or 10w40 depending on temperature. I use the $6 qt 15000 mile formula. Never a problem. btw my '04 cavalier has 100k miles on it, oil changes every 10-12k miles using that mobile 1 stuff, doesn't burn a drop, engine still clean. I swear by that stuff. about 1/2 hwy stop n go thr north jersey and 1/2 backroads pennsyltucky.

i run it in my warrior, lt230, 200x, yfm100. i run 20w-50 mobile 1 in the 2-strokers.

While I do not recommend straight 30wt oil, and suggest standard 10w30, 10w40 or a specialty motorcycle/ATV oil, if you quad will not move, the problem is not caused by your oil, and changing it is not likley to solve your problem.
