This is my new truck. I have always been a Ford guy, but have bad luck lately. This is my first Chevy truck. It was cheap, nothing special. Anyways after rebates and all, I got the truck new for $15,600. I love it!!!!

You could have gotten a similar FORD for $2,000 less!

Just kidding. I have a chevy too but I seem to have misplaced one of the carb linkages for an E2MC carb that goes to the choke I think. Anyone know of a good place to get one besides a junk yard? I think they will only sell the whole carb.http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g257/3_weelin_geezer/smileys/pat.gif

Its not 4 wheel drive. Trust me, we looked at a new F-150 but couldn't get as good of a deal. The sticker price was almost 23, but after rebates, trade in, and what they took off, I couldn't pass it up.

Thats not a bad deal. Went to a dealer about a month ago and they told me they were asking about that much for a Ranger. I say that guy should get a lathe as he already has the gouge! Other dealers have them for about $8k less. Must be because that one is located on the west side of town where the rich people live.

As long as it is American I am happy. If we didn't have Ford and Chevy, we most likely would have lost WW2.

It is made in Fort Wayne Indiana. Also the money goes to an American company, not sent instantly oversees like Nissan, Toyota, and Honda. Nothing against those companies, they make nice vehicles. Also, what do you mean by ho?

Nissan and Chevy are not in bed together. Ford and Nissan where at one time. Chevy has a plant in California where the build the Pontiac Vibe with Toyota. Toyota calls theres the Matrix, same car. Lay off the beer man, I can barely make out what your typing. I know my typing is not the best, but come on.

The 5.3 (5328 cc) or 5300 vortec is a 325 or something like that and everyone calls it a 327. I just learned this the other day when I went to get a part for my truck, I always thought it was still a 305 but I guess they did away with that motor a while ago.

Haha yeah I know, that's because people are ignorant and try to compare older engines to new stuff. The 305 has been gone since, if I'm not mistaken, 1999....right about the time they came out with the LS series engines(4.8/5.3/6.0). I've even heard people go as far as to call the 8.1 big block a 454.....I just laugh at them and prove them wrong.
