Aparently one of the largest oil rigs in the world is at our shipyard for repairs/refit. Caught a pic of it from our dinning room window as it was heading to the yard.

Also went out in J5 to break the trail up behind the hills. Got pretty far but the snow is heavy and the thing just isnt getting the traction to get up over the last hill to the main trail. Trying again tomorrow. Love this thing!

Snapped this pic where I was turning around. Its our quiet little town, very calm sunny day. Sometimes I love winter.

hey big green how far from north of montreal are you? i mean time wise...takes me just under three hours to get to the canadian border, of montreal and new yawk. would love to take a road trip sometime and that looks like some land i'd love to ride on. does that town have any motels?

Motels are about 15mins away in a bigger town. Our town is called Epworth. About 500 people, probably less. Montreal is a long ways away Scoot, were an island province. Wish I was closer, I'd be at trikefest if I was.

My bro had his buddy from Texas come down this fall and do some hunting with him. He was absolutely taken with the scenery and how big this place is. So much untraveled land and when your out in the woods you don't have to be watching for snakes or other pests that could harm you.

Do you have a pretty free reign on riding the land around you? Or is motorized use watched closely. Then again with so much land availiable and so few people whose gonna hear ya and call the cops. Looks like a beautiful place to live.

We have free reign. Almost all our province's land is "Crown Land" or government owned. Which means we are free to ride where ever we want.

Hows the fishing? Is that a lake, or bay?

Its a part of Placentia Bay. The fishing is alright, I do very little of it.
