It says it is a Nick but the pictures have me wondering. Also, how could it start out as a 250r and turn into a Nick? Is it just a welded together trike with a XL500 motor in it?

It's a Nicholson Frame...looks like a 250r tank, plastics.....
the rear shock is wrong....needs to be a fox shock

Not even close to being as nice as the last one. Just my opinion, looks like a cobled up mess.

oh ya...last one had extra swinger (extended), ceramic coated pipe..i could go on but basically the whole nine....

This is a first generation Nicholson, which need 81/82R front/rear end with 185 tank and plastic to look original...IMO and of course the all illusive fox rear shock

BigBores is 2nd generation, which has a few frame mods and 200x tank, plastics, 200x front end and 250r rear

Thats fugly in so many ways. Needs an 81 R tank and a fat front tire/fender.

Someone should give him a best offer of $1,200, tear it down and do it the right way. At least you've got the frame and motor. Finding the rest of the parts would be cake.

It'll be cheaper than what I paid for mine.

I like it, and I would offer 1500 for it if I was closer and had the money

Agreed, could use some plastic re working and a different tank, but for the price If I had money I'd offer lower maybe to get it off his hands and make it another member of my trike family

to be honest i have not seen a nick that i thought looke dgood. they are all ugly. they are a cool part of history but not much to look at. there must be a reason so few were ever sold.

Including mine?.....and Bigbore's?

I think Bigbore's is absolutly sic...by far the best looking trike IMO...love the R front fender he has on it (although it's not historically correct) IT LOOKS SWEET:welcome:

Have you ever sat on or ridden one? They might be to big if your 5'8" and 160lbs. I'm 6'3" and 215 lbs. To me a 250R is almost too small. The Nickolson is alittle bigger and more comfortable to ride. Bigger yes, but it doesn't feel near a big as my KXF 700 or as big as most new quads and it isn't any taller than a 250R.

Is that a champion swingarm? Looks sick. I agree though, It needs an 81/2 front end.

let me ask you, isn't the 350x taller and bulkier (in a way) than a 200x?....

so why shouldn't the 500 be a little taller and bulkier (in a way)than a 350x?

A big thumper trike like my mutt handles like a 350x only feels alot beefier...:postwhore

The turbo rides like a 185 on some serious steriods only you can feel the width, weigh and size of a 500cc:banned:

I can honeslt say "Bigbore's" probably feels like a bigger 200x with a cannon for a tail pipe.........:TrikesOwn

finally, on all big thumper trikes, I dont care who you are, the arm draining torque will happen to you.......... only unlike a 2smoker.........it's torque is continual and relentless:twisted:

I love how the author of the description is trying to be poetic but failing terribly at it.
