.. By an acre stock for stock. You're talking a 350X radial 4 valve, 28hp, 100lb lighter bike vs a 100lb heavier, 21hp, two valve ride with one more wheels worth of friction.

Even if they had the exact same motor, Would a 150 lb rider on a 350x be able to beat a 250 lb rider on another 350x?

Another way to put it is would a 6 cylinder car beat a 6 cylinder Truck? lol




I would have to say a stock 350x would beat a Warrior no matter what.
One thing about the 350x's is in stock form they will give any stock quad a run for the money.

... Tim, I know you're trying to make some sort of "Tim-esque" point here but I think thats a really good question .... I don't think the top speeds would change much unless the bigger guy was taller (aerodynamics?) but the time it takes getting there would - more mass to place in motion maybe?. It all depends on this guys definition of "beat".

Since he said "drag race" I did not find where he was asking about top speed, to which the answer is "whoever has the biggest front sprocket".

Every drag strip I have ever seen has a specified beginning and end, and the guy with the higher top speed will not necessarily win, if he is 15 bike lengths behind when he finally reaches it, because the race is over before he can catch up.

I meant YOU asked a really good question with your reply but thats a good point - within a certain measured distance a guy with a super low geared ATC110 could beat a really high geared Raptor.

i asked this because i just bought a 350x and my friend has an 88' warrior and i wanna race him after i get some practice will i beat him?

if all goes well you smoke him easily :D I personally have done it on my 350x repeatedly and I am twice the size of the guy on the warrior. :twisted:

my buddy has 2 blasters they are different only by the years...
it doesn't matter what machine we are on but when we race eachother if one guy leans forward they inch ahead if they both do they stay the same speed and we are within 5 lbs. of wieght between us.

so yes the 150 lb guy should win easly vs. the 250 lb guy!!!
