Hi, I recently acquired a 1982 Honda ATC 200. I changed the spark plug, and cleaned out the carb and it started on 3 rd pull. Unfortuanately all 3 tires are dryrotten through and through. My question is can I use a an aftermarket tire other than the OEM tires from Honda which are $70 each. I found some cheng shins for under 40 but aren't made specifically for 2 piece wheels. any help would be appreciated :-D

you certainly can... but you might have to get new seals for the 2 piece wheels if you split them, the o ring between will probaly leak, or you can get some 40 tires and also get some tubes to throw in there...

Check out Wal-mart (yep, they carry ATV tires, too!). I paid about $30 a tire the last time I bought them (last winter)..

For $70 you could get a $40 tire and a $30 polished aluminum wheel.

True but that 2 piece is a lot stonger than any $30 aluminum.

Do you have a link to those $30 aluminium wheels?

I'm gonna go with the $40 tires. Another question I have is what front suspension forks will fit on my non-suspension 82 Honda atc 200, and what parts I could use to fabricate a rear suspension. ;)

as far as the rear suspension goes.. it aint going to happen! you can find a 200x frame and swap out the motor and put it in... or grab up a set of forks from a 185s or 200s? and put them on... (not sure if they will mount right up).. but would only have slight front shocks.. not like the plush 200x..
