The coolant bottle will probably go for more than the airbox. Tecate activity has been slow because not to many people have the rarest of the "BIG 3" to buy parts for.

Think so?? After seeing the rear fender brace go for $177 and the light switch go for $178...(although both were OEM,not used), I figured these would go sky high. I have both on my '86 T3 but the bottle is cracked and weeps glycol out. I took it off to help preserve freshness!! LOL!!

Oh yeah. I wish someone could repro the coolant bottle. The cap and seal are still available from Kawasaki...a whopping $1 ea! The airbox I'm not so concerned about but would be nice to have. I can see why the coolant bottles are trashed on all these olf T3's popping up....the stinger from the pipe runs within 1.5" from touching the bottle and there's no heat sheild or protection of any kind right from the factory. It's basically cooked 'till it's brittle.

well guys i guess that make at least 3 of us throwing down on the air box and coolant tank. dam i was hoping i was the only one who saw those listed. LOL, i need the air box more than the bottle. guess we'll see who wants them the most.

Strange that there isn't a dirtbike reservoir that would work instead of the KXT part.

kx series bikes never used a overflow tank. Kinda like a first gen t3. Hose dumps to the ground.

Why couldnt a '86 Tecate just dump on the ground too?

Well it could but it isn't environmentaly friendly.

I dont think anything about a '86 Tecate is enviromentaly friendly...LOL. I guess what I meant to ask is: What is so desirable about a coolant bottle? Is it needed? Or just a rare novelty for bragging rights?

For me finding one was a must for a proper OEM restoration and I did have to pay dearly for an NOS one.

Boy, am i glad i finished my tecate restoration last year. As OC stated, these parts are a must have if you want a proper restoration. If you are just going to run it on the trails, i won't even bother at least on the overflow bottle.

The overflow bottles also seem to get kicked in and shattered from the riders boots with the rear kicker.

I screwed up and forgot that I had an AirBox, minus lid for the Tecate I picked up for him. So thats one less person here to bid against. Sorry Scooteroo.
