trouble with top end rebuild

im having problems compressing the rings enough to slide the jug over the piston, is there any special tricks i can use to make it easier????

got the right size rings? and the gaps lined up?? should slide in with your fingers,,,

there's little pins in the piston grooves that the gaps in the rings need to be in between before compressing

make sure you have the rings on the right way also, they have a taper on the ends that slide under the pins...lube it up nice and good too.
