A Ford for a Polaris? I'd go for it! I personally like the Indys, my dad has one and I think theyre great all around machines. Awesome power, great throttle resopnce. It will catwalk without any lag with both of us on it. The only problem Ive ever heard of on polaris machines is that the clutch bearing doesnt get enough oil, you need to have the case tapped and a new +1 line oil pump. I dont know what exact years were plauged with it, though. But usually they last a good while without it, especially on a fresh rebuild. Looks real nice, I like the colors on that one.

Yeah..those old wedge Indy's were great sleds, except for the triples.....they had a few problems.
If it's the 500 Fuji twin that 's in the sled, it will last a long time with proper maintaintence.
The only thing that may give issues would be the EFI. If that happens, just grab some carbs from a carbed 500 Fuji.
I had nearly 10,000 miles on one when I sold it, and it still ran great.
It won't be a lake rocket, but they move out respectably, and last forever.
As long as the rest of the sled is in good shape, go for it.

I have an 85 Indy 500.. the motor is a beast.. its not the fastest sled.. i mean can break 100 in probably half a mile...you cant go wrong with a indy.. and for a ford!! thats a hell of a deal..

Man those fuel injection sleds are a nightmare. I have worked for a top 100 polaris dealer for 6yrs +. We will not service them. They're very easily corroded. IMO hold out for your boat man. Cause if you get this sled you can use it as an anchor.

I didnt think something as old as a 92 would have fuel injection? :wondering Does the one in the pic have EFI?
