Give it a really good cleaning, and the hose probably goes to the gas tank or its a breather hose.

that hole is probably where your idle screw belongs. Cant remeber which side its on my Quad sport. Mind posting a pic or finding the hole on a skimatic like on bikebandit.com?

up yep, but he says it has a high idle so it must be an overflow

sounds like the vent hose it just ends up under the tank. Sounds like you need to clean the carb take it off and apart there very simple and clean it good or get a rebuild kit there only like 15 dollars. I did both of my q-sports

hey where do you live? if its close maybe i could come by and take a look. And isn't that the fuel inlet on these carbs? and where is the gas leaking from the very bottom or side hose? that screw looks way to far out to me. and make sure that the choke isn't sticking. i'm guessing that the problem is that its way to rich one someones 'adjustments' to the carb try screwing that screw in some.

That is your vent hose, your fuel line is below that the one that points downward. And that choke cable looks like its up hi off the carb you can see clean spot where it should be covered thats the cable to the top left with the black rubber boot should be pushed down farther at least by the pick it looks that way.

sounds like could be a problem with the flote if gas keeps leaking out of the overflow but i don't have the best knowlage about carbs just my thoughts

also, check your throttle cable, my cousins pit bike will idle high sometimes because the cable is broken

you just need to turn down the idle for that, and i just worked on my carb today that was doing the same thing and heres what you do. Dissasemble it and wipe down everything. then blow through every hole in/on the carb to make sure they are not blocked with dirt and sediment then take $1 dollar bill and go to the hardware store and buy a cheap fuel filter and you should be good to go. don't forget to reassemble the carb the way it came apart.

and wipe down every single little piece thats there even the stuff you take out. it helps even more if you spray a little carb cleaner on a rag first.

Your needle /seat is wore out ,The upper line in the pic you have circled is you fuel line ,looks proper to me .. The bottom tube coming off the bottom of the bowl is actually a drain/choke overflow ,If you notice when you had the bowl off the bottom of the carb A brass line that went via the bottom of the bowl, flip it and on the outsaie you will see a screw that's it..Anytime a carb just runs gas out 99% of the time it's a needle seat..You can find one online easy ,just buy a whole kit and replace everything ,should be around 30.00 and you'll be ggo to go.Float height should be around 14mm if memory serve me rite ,but double check.
