Just wondering if anyone remembers the old jarts game from early 80s. I have acquired two sets, one from my grandfather that are slightly used and a brand new set in the box never used. my girlfriend and I used to play all the time. I think i will bring a set to trikefest to kill time with, during the off hours.

Ebay bans the sale of jarts sets so they are not that easy to find. Anyone else have a set that they either use or not? There seems to be underground tournaments also, so there is a following. As long as kids are not involved - its a real blast to play.

I'd like to have a set again.

Any ideas where one might find them?

Yeah, I wanted a set too and found you couldn't get them on ebay. It's probably illegal for anyone to sell them. You might end up in trouble if you sold them and somebody got hurt. You know how lawyers are...

wow - thats a good link to parts there 350xhilaration. Nice.

My girlfriend just picked up a set one day that her dad had from way back and thought it was the coolest game. My unused set i paid 100 dollars for 4 years ago. $3.95 original price tag on it too from kmart.

So if you find any in tag sales, pick them up cheap and resell. The fins are usually busted, but that site has limited spares - nice. That means i can use mine more now.

I think CPSC banned them too. Gives me an idea for a new Trikefest competition. Throwing Jarts while riding a 3 wheeler. :wondering

Dammit!

atc eric - nice score definetly. Looks like they were never used.

I got a set just like that from my grandfather's basement. Its up to you but a set like that 5 years ago were going for 100-150. Don't know what they are worth now and im sure there are less and less of them since many throw them out - just like that set would have been if you werent there.

Yeah, these have very MINIMAL use to them. The box is just a little discolored from the ages of sitting in a basement. (no water damage.)

Well, I was thinking about selling them, but they'll be worth a fortune down the road! I think Im in this for the long haul.

I just picked up a set at a yard sale this summer for a buck. Was in pretty good shape. Now half the fins are broken off.

Just a heads up, you can still buy them disassembled.

We bought a set about 2 years ago.

I for one am willing to admit those things can go A LOT farther than ya think.

My brother and I played lawn darts all the time unsupervised and we were probably 7 and 9 at the time, if not slightly younger. My mom and dad might even still have them at their house somewhere. Just like three wheelers, the stupid ones ruined it for everybody.

We used to throw them at an old run down building near my old house when I was like 10. They used to stick right into the lap board siding.
