:lol:Found out its 440 two cylinder picked it up today. I think its a blizzard 9500, Pretty beat and seized I might add:cry: I tried to get it frommy uncle years ago, but he decided its better to let it sit and seize up untill he gave it to me:mad: . Ill post some picks tomorrow, when I tear into it. Are parts readily available for these guys is my main question:rolleyes:

Is it "cold-seized"? Just from sitting too long? I heard you can pour Marvel Mystery Oil into the bore and use a stick through the clutch to turn it over.

dam a 9500? sweet. ive had one and with minor work they haul ass. nice score man. your best bet it to break it down and replace the seals and gaskets and anything else that may need replacing.

Heck, just do a complete motor rebuild. If you talk to the right people, you can find all sorts of NOS stuff. Seals and gaskets are fairly easy to come by, pistons and rings arent too hard. Those engines are stupid simple.

Lets see some pics!!! :pics: :pics:

well it dropped a cylinder So looks like at the least pistons\rings bore job. Intersting thing is that my girlfriends grandfather used to race sleds back in the day. He had a thunder jet , And he looked at the sled and goes damn. So I was like whats up he and he askes if it was a blizzard. I said yeah and he said that they used to get thier ***** handed to them by those things  Any Ideas where I can get parts.

Ok well dennis kirk has everything for the top end but looks like I am gonna need a crank as well I took the cylinders off and the crank was frozn. It spins now but I should be fixed. Alsop the crank case was full of oil? Oil injectio leaking or maybe it was dumped in there.

it is oil that was injected into the rotory valve. my sled did that too. there should be a plug on the bottom of the engine somewhere. as for the crank als snowmobiles should have one. i will post a link later today when i get home.

well here is the link. i decided not to wait .
