i was told that the spare engine i have laying around the garage is very rare, it came out of my brothers 86 trx200sx, is it actually rare and how much could i get for it. how much would that estimate drop because there is a small (fixable) hole in the block ( i dont even think it is visibile) i apreciate any answers i need money quick and if i can sell this engine to get it it would make my life easier

86/87 200x and 200sx motors are didferent but bolt up the same. the top end is the same. but the bottom end is diiferent on the 200sx it has an auto clutch and eletric start.

TRX200SX is chain drive, auto clutch, electric start, reverse. TRX200 is shaft, and was only made one year, replaced by TRX250 which is almost identical to ATC250ES.

I owned a TRX200SX, and two TRX250s back before I began flushing the Hondas out of the stable!
