http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w187/serioustim/123-2384_IMG.jpg

I can hold four people AND my Tri-Moto inside, AND my son's PW50! Inside, I have a truck bedliner that's been trimmed down so as not to leave the carpet a mess, and 3- 2 x 8 pieces of pressure treated lumber to roll her up and in. Even with the rear overhead console it clears nicely :)

Aside from which, I can bring the machines and camper at the same time, without the expense of (a badly needed) quad-cab pickup.

I tow my ride around with a well used 191k mile toyota camry V6

Compared to our euro small hatchbacks most first drivers have with there 1.0l motors its got alot of go :D

Heres it towing a small hatchback out of its watery grave after the motor hydrolocked.

what do you have done to make that diesel run in the 12's. I'm a bit of a diesel head myself(lbz duramax) and to my understanding it takes alot of coin to make a 7.3 go that fast, especially with the lift and tires. You must have some serious mods. Is it a mannual or automatic?

ScottZJ
05-22-2007, 05:23 PM
When I said 12's, it was only 12.9 ROFL but was cool to get there.

Well it has...

new turbos
stage III kit computer controller
down pipe
injector kit
pulley
underdrive pulley
F450 tranny stage III
4" Downpipe
5" straight pipe
DIY Tymar Intake Mod
ATS ported housing
DP-Tuner flip chip,
BTS valve body

There are probably more but I just cant remember. But I dont usually run it hard and take it to the track every blue moon.

i was gonna say if it isnt modded maybe you ment 0-60 in the 12's with a full load, but woah 12 sec 1/4mile thats insane, my mustang cant even do that yet lol

by the way my dad has a 98 ford explorer v6 with 169,061 miles on it, havent towed my trike and quad with it yet, just built a trailer and am testting it this week, pictures as soon as truck gets back from shop (brake lights out suddenly, prolly a relay)

Actually that 12 second run I beat a 98 Cobra Rustang as he ran 13 flat. So I just barely won. lol

Well I dont mess with it much anymore, its just a tow rig that has power when I need it, or when I need to smoke a dang ricer lol.

Yeah that was my old Cherokee that was a bad to the bone rock crawler.

Hey scott... I was wondering what kind of MPG would that 7.3 get when it was stock, and not raggin on it, just driving it normal? Im kinda getting into a first vehicle and would like to get a 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC 1/2 ton with a 6.2 or a 6.5 and was wondering how good of MPG diesel really got over a gas, Thanks.
Here is what hauls all of my toys around, my brothers 1994 Ford Ranger, 3,0L v6 with an 8.8 rear end, and he soon wants to drop a 302HO in it:rolleyes:

200Xcellent, Chevy/GMC is actually the only brand that put diesel in half-ton trucks, im pretty suprised that ford and dodge never followed as they would have made alot of money, though ford did drop a vary rare 2.3L diesel in a ranger, but is very hard to find.

You know what the funny part of my trucks are, they both get the same mileage. As long as I dont get into the diesel power, it does 18-20 without a problem with all the mods and tires. Heck I was towing my 26' enclosed trailer and it only dropped a few mpg towing that.

But I dont know what it did stock as it wasnt stock long enough in my possession for me to caculate the mpg.

hey wheeliepop if your truck is class 2 then it's counted as a 3/4 ton by the state.

class 1 is a f150

class 3 is a f350 single wheel rear alxe like brapps truck.

all dually trucls should officaily be a class 4

it all goes by the weight rating from factory my dually toyota is a class 2 also.

yeap it's whats the GVW is. any truck under 5,000 lbbs with what the weight is and what your allowed to carry is a class 1

7000 or under is a class 2 the toyota dually is registered at 7000 so i can haul alot without getting in trouble it weighs 3200. your truck would be that also since f250s are heavy just they weigh over 5000 lbs

9000 is a class 3

full size dually are 11000 and class 4

if your truck was just a 2wd f150 you would be a class 1

Thanks for the compliment, but it's actually hugger orange/ carousel red. All of the body panels are new GM except the bedsides. They have not been available for a long time. I started buying and stashing the parts 10 years ago. The front fender was $85 back then.

'84 Ranger Diesel 2.2 4spd 78K original miles. Someone mentioned them earlier. Very rare! Around 56 HP makes it a total dog, but has a coolness factor that makes up for it! :w00t: As soon as I get it figured out, this will be running on veggie oil.

93 Sierra 2wd, 305 w/ 4L60, headers, true dual exhaust, 31" tires, custom back bumper, blah blah blah

it's nothing special, but it runs and drives great, the 8 foot box is ultra handy for hauling all my toys. it even gets 21 mpg! haha
