I have a bunch of pre-mixed gas leftover from desert season.
Do you guys think my honda elites will run ok on it, or is it a bad idea?
Thanks!

I don't believe it will hurt it. I have heard of people dumping old mix in their trucks and whatnot. I would just guess it to have a bit of a builtup of carbon and a BUNCH more smoke.

Don't ask why i'm up so early lol

On our 4-stroke race bikes "400ex-YFZ-450" we add 1oz. of Maxima 927 per gallon.. smells GOOD and add's a touch of compresion ... Faster ..

If you follow the wisdom of some gas/oil mix theorists here, it will cause you to run lean, blister plugs and melt the piston.

If you want to take my word for it, it wont hurt anything, it may not run at optimum level, but probably not much noticeable difference, and you might end up changing an occasional plug. Especially if its a 20
:1 mix or something like that. Ive run it in the ALT (my 50:1 mix) on occasion when the regular gas can was empty, but it sometimes fouls plugs. If anything, dilute it with staright gas. I wouldnt be throwing gas away either!

Thanks guys, I think I'll try diluting it with fresh gas, thats a good idea.

I hate to toss it out, I have enough to run my scooters all summer!

Fire, what were you doing up so early?? hehe

Yep, I'd run it. There's only about 3oz to a gallon and if you doubled the gas it's near nothing. Kinda reminds ya of how amazing that such a small amount of oil actually lubricates a piston and a set of main bearings.

I Just Did The Same Thing. I Had A Extra 5 Gallons Of Race/pre Mix For My Sons Race Bike(sunoco 114 Octane) And Put It Into My 2000 Ford Van It Didnt Notice It. Never Had Problems Doing This. With The Fuel Prices Noone Will Be Tossing Gas Away. G

Yea, it wont hurt it a bit. Just make it run a tad rich.

i run it in my riding mower when its about 80-90 out. it helps keep the engine cool as it does in a pinger. i also hear its good to keep the valves lubed up.
