just the other day i was riding my prarie 400 4x4 and i was in the mud and a stick came up and nocked my bottom water hose off my radiator,so i was riding not knowing this and i rode home cut it off and now it wont start. and there is oil in the air box i dont really know what i should do,does it have to be rebuilt? or what?

well...welcome to the boards even if its not under a good circumstance, you may have over heated the motor and locked it up, or it may have busted something inside the motor /topend/bottom end that may have let go becouse of the overheating, take it to a quiltiy cycle shop and get it diagnosed there

thanks, i dont really want to take it somewhere to be worked on ill do the work myself, just took the plug out to see if it had compression and it did i didnt put a guage on it but i couldnt hold my finger over the hole, but water is coming out of the spark plug hole when i crank it over whats this?

you fried your head gasket most likely and water filled the cylinder.

nope, not a head gasket problem i wish i cracked the block half way of the cyl wall , i would like to get a big boar kit for it when i go to rebuild it , do u kno any websites that have boar kits for 4x4 atvs??
