I'm trying to sell my XR100 and this dude is offering me a Colt Mustang .380 Semi-Auto pistol in trade for it. He claims it's worth 500 bucks...anybody know much about em? Are they pieces of *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* or are they actually a good gun?

You can checkout www.gunbroker.com for some pretty accurate prices on stuff. No idea whether thats a good pistol or not though, but It'd be hard for me to believe Colt makes junk.

The Colt Mustang is a decent .380. They are kinda pricey when new they sold for around $450, $500 used is way too much. Because of the name, maybe $375 in prime condition. I shut down my gun shop on 1996, the later model pistols coming from the factory had some small issues, but nothing that kept the gun from being functional. I would worry now about parts/service because Colt moved and filed bankruptcy (sp), after this happened they went down real fast. At work we carry Colt AR-15 and they are still very finicky when it comes to dirt and sand but they are extremely accurate.

A little pricey for a used Colt Mustang, even if it is stainless. They are a decent little gun, though.
