Everything I am seeing looks like an 86

Aren't the '87's supposed to have a key switch?

Key Switch, different decals with more of a tear drop shape, rims with rolled edges and painted silver (not brushed aluminum like the 86's), different headlight bracket to accept the key switch, and a parking brake.

I wondered too. I just picked up Supplement manual....Second edition. Written in June of '88. It has a bit more info than the First edition but...there's no mention of a key switch or does it show it in the wiring diagram. It does however show the parking brake system.

A key switch? You don't have to kick start the bike? haha
