My son has a 73 Honda ATC 70. It has seen better days but it's still running. The problem is that I need to change the spark plug after about 4-8 hours of riding. I'm assuming it isn't getting the proper voltage to the spark plug. Would the coil need replacing or are there points that need to be replaced.

There is points on them. They are behind the flywheel. The flywheel will need to be removed to work on them.

Do you have pictures of this beast??

Check the timing of the points, make sure they open enough. If your spark at the plug looks yellow, the condensor could be on its way out.
Try closing the spark plug gap slightly and see if it runs better or plug lasts longer. If it does then its probably condensor.
