hey guys i picked up a honda 200x atc how can i figure of what year it is. the motor has a pullstart and no clutch just front and rear brake levers and no foot brake but has every thing to use it just no foot lever can any one help ?

there should be a plate on the frame saying what year it is.

On another note it dosnt have the stock engine in it, the 200x engine is a 5/6speed manual clutch engine. The engine has been taken out of a unsuspended 200cc trike.

Post a pic, you'll know real quick what year it is.

On the cylinder there should be a cc indicator. Once you find that you can figure out if its a 185, or a 200.

Yep. There's only 2 choices of non-clutched engines that can be fit in the 200X chassis, the 185 and the 200.

thanx guys i am going to huntington tonight i will get pics and post them and where is the info plate on the chassis? i looked all over for one.

It sounds like a auto-x conversion. The plate on the older X's was up by the triples im pretty sure.

yup sounds like a auto x to me too. give me a haller if you need anything. i have a few extra parts. not many but a few.

i went over to a buddys huse and looked at his 86 200s and the motors looked the same. now will any 200x motor fit my 200x with no mods being done

If it looks the same as a 200S motor then you have to use the engine from an 83-85 model 200X. 86-87 engines were quite different.
