yep,, i extended the swingarm 6 inches on my latest 70,, decieded not to use the shock i had,,, so i built this,, its got a ohlins shock, with compression and rebound dampening,, so far it looks like i hit the spring rate just right too,, its also got preload adjustment,,, next inverted forks and it will be ready for a powerplant.....

You should put a 250 laydown in that beast.

hell i have the bender and the pipe, all i need is the time!!!!

BTW, Kasey i will be landing at your airport at 3:30 on thursday. I am heading to an interview. Sand dunes may be in my future. I will have to blow the dust off my old 500 if i get the job!!

Kasey

one question

How hard would it be to use a 350x or 250r axle housing/ carrier on a set up like that? then you would have tons of brake and axle options as well as a better chain adjustment.

Wow, you're really taking that trike to the next level. I guess that ohlins works well at that angle? It will be looking really trick with the inverts. I hate to imagine the powerplant in that. Something from the land down under maybe???

A twostroke 125 would rock in such a little chassis. Even an 85 mx motor. Or a KDX 200/220 that would let you run lights. LOL I need one of these 70's..

Hell yeah, I agree with what BGM said about the 85 MX motor. I remember I saw a video of a Cobra ECX 70 with a YZ 85 motor in it, it absolutely ripped. Imagine that in a smaller 70 chassis... Time to get Mart to make you a CR85 laydown engine... LOL

As cool as a twostroke would be I foresee a Lifan for this little machine.

i have a cr80 motor setting on the bench!!! and its small enough to fit right in too,,, but its not going in this one. i build a 125cc lifan,, bumpy cam,, 26mm carb, inner rotor ignition, and a 10.5 to 1 piston,,, so it should scoot pretty good,,,

hey basket,,, i guess i stay with the small components to keep it simple? maybe weight savings too? i guess if i was going to use bigger stuff i might as well build a full size trike,,, how much fun would that be? :naughty:

Yeah I noticed the engine says FU. That's too small, people won't have time to read it when you pass 'em up!

Hey KASEY, wondering if you could please post a pic of the CR engine laid into the 70 frame? Just so we could get an idea of how it fits.

can you give us some measurement of the frame for us please?
Like the diameter and the lenght of the main tubing and the lenght of the swingarm.
