i am trying to decided if i should go look at one. dude is wanting $500 for it. is there anything i should be looking for. are there any major problems with this year quad? he is saying that it only needs new gaskets.

Look for cracks / repairs near the front shock towers. Also check the swing arm very carefully. I have had mine welded in a couple of spots. Five hundred does not sound to bad if it is running.

If it's a runner, or easily made into a runner and doesn't have any apperant cracks etc... I would think you couldn't go wrong for 500 bucks.

Ask him why it needs "new gaskets", and what gaskets it needs? Sounds fishy to me.
