Pretty generic truck but I'm in a credit rebuilding phase so I can't be too picky. I'm lucky to have it really.

Nope. Just a 4.7 Magnum. Couldn't swing the Hemi or four wheel drive this time around. I got a good enough deal on it that if I trade it in 12 months from now I don't think I'd be upside down on it. That's the plan. Next year I'll get something with hopefully an extended cab, a little more motor and four wheel drive.

It's got a lifetime drivetrain warranty and 7 years/75k mile bumper to bumper that also has trade value that I can transfer to the next one if I stick to the plan.

It should. It's brand new.

Very nice Doug!

One of these days I need to make the jump into a new truck myself.

It's nice just to have something with a V8 in it again. That POS V6 in my S10 drove me nuts. Gas mileage isn't even much different.

Anyone know if it's true that putting a K&N air filter system on a new truck can give you up to 2mpg better gas mileage? That would make it dead even.

yes, and a flow master would give you a considerable gain also. I have a friend that gained 100 miles per tank with just the muffler change ( and driving the a civilized human being)

Wow. That's pretty impressive. Why don't they make that *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* standard equipment.

Nice truck brother. Look into one of the hypertech programmers! Better mileage, better shifting, better towing, blah blah blah. Them things work !!!@!!!!!

Nice truck.

The Hemi is over rated. My Durango struggles to pull my 5500 lb camper on some decent hills.

haha, well now that I dont have to say it...

no really though man, nice truck, I bet it will look even better with a 250R in the back of it. And to answer your question about the K&N air filter and gas mileage increase, it will help but most people forget that a big increase in your intake wont have as much of an effect with out a somewhat equal increase in exhaust performance. And I dont mean a fart can muffler off a honda civic:lol: yeah, I bet just a K&N and flowmaster or a dynomax muffler will give you about 2 miles. Good luck with it!

It's big enough for a 250R, 350x and a 70 I think.

So far I'm pretty surprised by how good it runs with the smaller V8 in it. I was expecting it to be more of a dog but it's actually got some good power and acceleration. Way more responsive than the Chevy 2500HD I test drove. Never got a chance to check out the Chevy 1500 though and I have no idea what gear ratio that 2500HD had. The thing was slow as hell but I'm sure it was geared more for towing. My RAM has a 7100lb towing capacity which ain't bad.

The biggest shocker so far, $75 to fill the tank. Ouch!

Nice truck btw. Dodge has atleast kept their vehicle from becoming FUGLY. Ford and Chevy make me say Dammit every time I see them

Nice ride. V8 power really helps on those cruises to the dunes. That new warranty Dodge is offering almost sells the truck by itself!

I feel your pain there Doug, Though I run diesel , and at $2.85( going price right now in Las Vegas) a gallon it costs $108.30 to fill my tank up from the "E" mark. Sure makes me wish I had a french fry setup!!!

As long as you dont have a 5.9l or 6.0l and have dual tanks you can add fuel lines around your radiator hoses to heat the fuel up. Run diesel in one tank and vegg in the other. but lets not hyjack the gas thread ;)

There's a couple things I'll do to dress it up a little but right now I'm not concerned about it. Only thing I have to get soon is window tint. I don't know how anyone can stand not having dark tint in arizona. It's only been a couple days and I already hate not having it.

Also planning to order one of these things probably monday.

Anybody ever use one? I found a crapload of threads about them on a f150 forum. Those guys seem to love them.

Loving the new truck so far. Really impressed with it especially given that it's basically just a base model truck with only a couple of options. Hating those wheels more and more by the day though...
