Not seen a head like this before on the 250R. Is it a head that was used on one of the older CR models?

Interesting! Anyone use one of these heads on the trike, and have feedback to share? Is the stock ATC cylinder able to run this CR head? Or, can you run the CR cylinder and head on the ATC bottom end? I've not heard of anyone running the CR250 motor before, only the CR480 in a few builds.

you can, but the cr's have a chrome bore, and take MULA to fix! not worth it in my op.

Looking around on Ebay, looks like the CR exhaust port comes out at an angle. So maybe the head would fit an ATC, and worth a try?

if you can snag a head cheap go for it! im not sure what kind of performance gains you will get from just a head off a cr though, basically an air cooled atc is a newer non chromes counterbalanced air cooled cr motor, alot of parts cross reference between the 2

That head is not stock either I know quite a bit about the 78-80 cr250 and the 79-80 cr125 motors.

The odyssey head has 2 plugs so if you foul 1 plug you don't need tools, just swap the ciol wire over.

Some people would use the second spark plug hole with a compression realese if they were running a real high compression piston.

Its really a pointless set up....even for fouling plugs, guess what that one thats not firing is gona be just as bad if not worse off, not firing the whole time...

if it was me i would try to find a way to run both plugs at the same time.

If one plug got fouled, wouldn't both plugs be fouled??

Running both those plugs at the same time would be a benifit. It will run cooler not hotter. Spark plugs take heat out of the combustion chamber not put it in. Here's a link to understand exactly how plugs work.......... http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/index.asp?mode=nml
